Our strategic Master Plan for St Joseph’s School Hindmarsh has served the school successfully for 4 stages of site development over 15 years. A key issue with this project centred on the desire to maximise open play space on a severely limited, land-locked site located immediately adjacent a major arterial road. From an initial brief of “more space on less land”, we have helped the school flourish as a whole Parish-based community. Stage 1 works provided new elevated GLAs that also created new covered outdoor play space, whilst Stage 2 delivered new Administration and community Parish shared facilities within a State Heritage Listed building site.  Stage 3 responded to the BER program with a custom designed Activity Hall and Stage 4 delivered a fully enclosed “learning piazza” incorporating Reggio Emilia principles.
