WORKS BEGIN – 2022

Morialta Secondary College is the next iteration of a contemporary learning environment designed to deliver the Department for Education vision of “Growth for every child, in every class, in every school and preschool” to enhance World Class Education. Developed within the realm of a community framework and elegant, timeless Architecture, the interior spaces and external landscaped grounds incorporate the latest thinking in future-focused learning spaces to provide a new benchmark for suburban schools. The school design consists of a series of unique forms, carefully scaled to respond to the substantial level change over the site. A combination of separated buildings will redefine the scale of the school to respond to its suburban residential context. The design provides multiple entry points with logical wayfinding to provide a unique community landmark. The articulated form is embedded within the existing contours of the site to ensure the overall scale is respectful to its surrounding neighbouring residents and local context, with natural hues playing homage to the local Morialta Conservation Park. The façade includes a series of indents, setbacks and screens to provide privacy for the neighbouring and School community. This project is designed and delivered in collaboration with Brown Falconer.
